With the current rage of Rimless aquariums comes a new line of aquariums from Mr Aqua. These new rimless aquariums feature the rimless design and feature a extra fine silicone finish. These aquariums are available in a variety of sizes and designs. Marine Depot has recently started to carry these in the traditional rectangle size in 11 gallons and up. Prices starting at $51. Which is a bit steep for a 11 gallon tank, considering you can hop on over to Walmart and spend about $10 for a mass produced 10 gallon tank…although that will get you the dull looking black frame. And who wants that? A 11 gallon rimless aquarium will make a beautiful nano aquarium.

Cheaper than the ADA tanks. Makes me want one.
Whats with the odd sizes? Drillable?

I have a local Mr. Aqua importer so I hope they get some of these in stock soon.
looks like normal iron level in the glass though. IDK if its worth it to pay 5x more for less stuff and basically the same glass. I guess you could argue that all the edges are polished so its worth more but IDK about 5x more. There is a 33g for $142 and a 48g for $265. Doesn't make sense when there is a trimless oceanic 58g with higher clarity glass, and an overflow that costs around the same price as their 48
Does any one know the specific type of silicone used?
@arhyne ~ Marine Depot says "a specially formulated silicone manufactured in Germany"
They also said these are made with high clarity glass, though it doesn't look like it in the picture.
I just bought a 33 gallon mr aqua, at my lfs, I knew I was gonna buy the tank as soon as I seen it, even empty it looks like a work of art, very nice quality
