Oceans Reef and Aquariums better known in the hobby and industry as ORA is now shipping the striped blenny, Meiacanthus grammistes, and the elongate dottyback, Pseudochromis elongatus. The captive raised dottybacks look every bit as large, bright and well formed as the wild fish and it’s great to see these excellent reef fish now available in a captive raised flavor. Also coming down the production pipeline are some all black, naked ocellaris clownfish. The batch of the first 25 naked black clownfish are still in the larval stages but new egg masses should be come increasingly abundant and we hope to be able to share with you pictures of this new clownfish strain as soon as they’ve metamorphosed and start looking like real little fish.
