You’d think that as much time as we spend dealing with buckets and lids, someone would have brought a higher end bucket to market long before now. Granted, almost of our buckets come from the sea salt mixes we buy but I don’t know how many times I’ve personally cursed any given manufacturer for not being able to make a lid that will easily and securely snap onto a bucket. The Instant Ocean bucket made some progress with a screw on lid but this new “chemical grade” bucket appears to hit the mark. A deep groove channel and a recessed O-ring ought to make the Seachem Salinity bucket something to fight over. Now let’s hope Seachem releases the Salinity Sea Salt already.

That bucket isn’t anything new, pool chlorine “shock” comes in buckets like that for awhile now.

Really Jake, that impressed over a lid? :)

I’ll take the cheaper cost on the salt that doesn’t need some specially manufactured lid to it :)

It’s not that I am impressed by a lid, as much as I am surprised at how so few salts come in a good quality bucket. Like I said, i have cursed manufacturers for providing a really crumby lid.

I totally agree with Jake, the whole kit and kaboodle was thought out. Besides, SeaChem is doing its best to make an in-house mixed and batch tested salt at competitive price. What are you doing “Mike”?

Last I checked this is Reef Builders…not “Pool Builders”. This is a first for the saltwater industry.

Teco Marine Sea Salt comes in same exact bucket / lid closure device, except it’s black
