warner-marine-h1-skimmer

It’s taken a long time coming, but the new hang on back wonder known as the H1 H2 from Warner Marine has finally started to ship to retailers or rather is about to start shipping.  These new H1 skimmers have a capacity of 100 gallons, and are powered by a sedra 5000 needle wheel pump. They take up a 10.25 x 4.75 x 18-20″ tall depending on your cup height with a 2.375 diameter neck and a 4.5″ diameter skimmer chamber. If you look closely you’ll see a CNC machines bubble plate chamber along with a new adjustable hanger bracket that fits up to 1.0″ thick tank frames. Aquarium specialty is taking pre-orders (we suggest calling) and we have no MSRP at the moment.

Looks powerful. The most important aspect of an HOB skimmer for me is noise levels.. Without a sump and cabinet to defuse the sound, having something hanging out in your living room can be an issue. Looking forward to some videos.

I think you got the H1 confused with the H2. the H2 comes with a sedra 5000 and is rated up to 100g.

Yep, Warner Marine imports these skimmers (and a lot of their other “innovative/new” products from Taiwan from JNS Enterprises. They just change the sticker.

Don’t ask Warner Marine about it or they’ll get defensive…

But the K2 cones are not made at that factory, rather smack dab here in the US

Not a secret… we’ve been working with our overseas manufacturing partner for years…

And the K2 IS made right here in the good ole USA.

the sedra pump is kinda loud. had that on my ASM skimmer, maybe time to get rid.

If the sedra was simply updated with external bearings instead of the current internal one, I bet that would reduce the noise level by half.
