The Apex Lite is a new module that has been changed so you friendly consumers can take advantage of cheaper pricing. What’s changed from the normal Apex unit? The 4 variable speed ports, and the second ph/ORP connector have been removed, besides that though its the same Apex unit as far as expandability and software features. The Apex Lite system was being shown off at MACNA and includes the Apex Lite Base module, Apex Display, EB8, and temperature probe. Retail is said to come in at $369.95 and you can pick one of these new guys up in November.

with this one you have to choose pH or ORP? I guess there has to be a catch.

I never was much a fan of the VSPs and most reef tanks really only need control for one pH or one orp probe. I just find it amusing that Neptune went with “LITE” instead of “Light”. Anyone catch that?

Just was thinking that myself, should have called it the Apex Jr. or something :)

Sad thing is unfortunately some of us AC3/Pro users are being left on by the wayside with only what’s already been made, nothing new as far as functionality coming our way.
