patent

You’ve most likely heard of Purple Up, the product that some aquarists use when they can’t seem to get any coraline algae growing in their saltwater aquariums.  Besides being a very popular product, Caribsea, the manufactuer has been touting that they recently were issued a patent for Purple Up. It seems that getting those pink, purple and other colors of coraline algae are worth a patent. Because of this Caribsea is having a big promotion wherein you can get your hands on a bottle of the purple stuff. CaribSea is telling us that they are giving away over $16,000 worth of free product, so go join their twitter feed and hopefully you’ll get your own very bottle too.

I never got my “CaribSea’s new try one for free promotion” after writing them. I also find it interesting that twitter starts with twit. No twiting for me(I know its tweet).

I’m working my way into setting up a reef aquarium in the future. I just realized how big of a learning curve I’m going to have to climb.

It’s kind of funny with the freebie promotion.

My friend and I applied for that one each after we read it in the Jul issue of CORAL magazine, they sent me an empty tube; my friend got both products in the tube ;-D

But honestly, two parts are sooo 2007, remembered at macna every company was coming up with some sort of 2 part / 3 parts
