labyrinth-aquarium-cherry

Leave it to a site called OpulentItems to offer this crazy looking labyrinth aquarium setup. We came across this item over at CrunchGear and figured we had to share it with our readers. This unique aquarium will run you $6,500 but don’t worry — that price includes a table to hide all the filtration and lighting components. The tables come in three flavors either cherry, black or carbon fiber. The bowls are made of Lucite acrylic and remind us of an aquatic Habitrail. What do you get for your $6,500? Your aquarium includes silk plants, three lights, filters, air pumps and cleaning equipment. Anyone have $6,500 to spare and want to try it out? We expect a full review! More pictures after the break.

I dunno, looks like something that can be fairly easily done with acrylic, just maybe have acrylic cubes instead of bowls… kind of a neat concept though, worried about fish staking out their own territory? Now they have their own bowl!

I wonder if it makes the fish take after society? Maybe one globe is high-rent and another is crack-n-ho town.

“look at all these mushrooms around here, man you need a better job”

“Shut up woman, just because you grew up in the acropora neighborhoods doesn’t mean you deserve to stay there!”

I have one question, what if a fish dies in one of the lower globes but doesn’t float up? It looks cool but is it really all that functional.

Mike…classic! “Sign me up for the mysis stamps!”

Elebriend, looks like you’d have to drain it or trying to spear it somehow. I think this is not a real “practical” concept for the long term but a definite conversation piece.

Cool. A dead fish in my system would just b food.

My concern would be is how would i get the coralline algae of the glass?
